Embracing diversity is essential to a vibrant community. This signature event will be presented by The Chamber's Diverse Business Council and will bring together subject matter experts to discuss diversity in the workplace and strategies to ensure stability and success.
Have you seen the corporate headlines lately? Chief Diversity Officers are leaving their positions in droves. C-Suite Executives are at a loss on structuring diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) Initiatives. Employees are quitting over lack of intentional DEI efforts. Why is support for or belief in DEI efforts waning? How is this happening when research continues to find DEI to be essential to business success? Perhaps there is something that is missing. During the 9th Annual Diverse Business Council Diversity Summit, “Diversity is Now”, presented by Cadence Bank and The University of Alabama, Dr. Nadia Richardson will share a presentation that explores what’s missing from most company DEI efforts. Participants will learn how to structure intentional DEI initiative, inspire team buy-in, create a culture of transparency and encourage a company commitment to life-learning.
Dr. Nadia Richardson is a diversity, equity and inclusion consultant, speaker, mental health advocate and educator. She is also the founder of No More Martyrs, a nonprofit organization that serves as a mental health awareness campaign.
Eligible participants attending this seminar will earn 1.5 SHRM Professional Development Credits.
