Senior Accountant - Finance

  1. Perform pre-close and month-end close processes to generate financial reports. 
  2. Keeps up with reimbursement rules and regulations related to provider/professional billing and develops and maintains a contractual model that aligns with the current rules/regulations.  Coordinates with the Director of Finance to ensure revenue recognition standards are met.
  3. Perform various account reconciliations, works to resolve discrepancies and performs analytics reporting variances or potential concerns to the Controller or Accounting Manager and Corporate Director of Provider Services. 
  4. Prepare analysis and schedules as requested by the Controller or Accounting Manager.
  5. Responsible for calculating and determining payments to contracted physician groups, individual physicians, as well as employed physicians based on contracts and employment agreements.  Prepares and books all related entries across all entities.
  6. Prepares month-end financial statements and physician reporting statements.  Reviews all month-end reports with the Director of Provider Services.
  7. Works collaboratively with the Director of Provider Services to complete all on-going operational financial analysis and pro-forma for new clinics, service lines, and product offerings.
  8. Works with System costing and budget/management reporting accountants to enhance integration of provider clinic information into the current information systems (Meditech, Strata, etc.)
  9. Seeks to advance knowledge and bring efficiency to processes.
  10. Displays good communication and presentation skills.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
 
  1. 2-4 years of related experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree required.
  3. Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management skills. 
  4. Strong analytical, mathematical and report writing skills.
  5. Must be proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English
